Learning Outcomes:

After this session attendees will have a greater understanding of the following: 

  • Recognise the common presentations of key STIs
  • Take a focussed sexual history
  • Select appropriate tests (symptomatic and asymptomatic patients and screening)
  • Perform correct sampling techniques
  • Understand window periods
  • Initiate first line management, where appropriate
  • Navigate local pathways for referral
